2009

CSR Recognition Award
- Singapore Compact for CSR

In recognition of CDL’s sustained commitment towards CSR, CDL was conferred this award by Singapore Compact, the national society in furthering the CSR movement in Singapore. CDL was a pioneer member of the Singapore Compact and a UN Global Compact Signatory in Singapore.

2008

ACCA Singapore Awards for Sustainability Reporting 2008 - Merit Award
- The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants

CDL was accorded the Merit Award for Sustainability Reporting in recognition of its inaugural stand alone social and environmental report published in 2008, entitled Reaching Out. It was the first CSR report published by a Singapore-based company to have been successfully checked by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). The report was prepared in accordance with the GRI G3 Guideline launched in October 2006 and met the Level C requirement of the GRI Application Level Criteria.

Asian CSR Awards 2008
- Asian Institute of Management and Intel

CDL is the only Singapore corporation to be recognised for its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes at the Asian CSR Awards 2008, which recognises and honours companies in Asia for their projects and programmes in CSR. Three of CDL’s CSR initiatives were conferred the Excellence Awards, out of a total of fifteen regional finalists across five Award categories. The award-winning programmes include CDL’s “1°C Up” Pilot Campaign and Water Recycling and Silt Water Treatment Programme at Construction Sites (Environmental Excellence category) and Work-Life Harmony programme (Best Workplace Practices category).

The Singapore H.E.A.L.T.H. Award 2008 - Platinum
- Health Promotion Board

CDL was presented the Platinum Award for the Singapore H.E.A.L.T.H. (Helping Employees Achieve Life-Time Health) in recognition for its outstanding Workplace Health Promotion programmes to encourage employees to lead healthy and vibrant lives. Having receiving the Silver Award (2003-2004) and Gold Award (from 2005), CDL has now been awarded the Platinum Award, the highest award tier presented to employers.

Home Team NS Awards for Employers 2008 – Minister for Home Affairs Award
- Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA)

In recognition of CDL's outstanding and consistent contribution towards Singapore’s national defence, CDL clinched the Minister for Home Affairs Award (formerly known as Special Award), the highest Home Team NS Award for Employers. Starting this year, MHA also introduced the Minister’s Honours Roll and CDL has been inducted into this new league.

Friend of the Arts Award (2008)
- National Arts Council

This annual award is presented to CDL for its significant contribution to the promotion and development of the arts in Singapore. CDL received the Patron of the Arts Award in 2007 and has been a recipient of the Friend of the Arts Award since 1997.

Work-Life Excellence Award
- Ministry of Manpower

The Work-Life Excellence Award (formerly known as the Singapore Family Friendly Employer Award), was presented to CDL in recognition of its excellence in work-life strategies and commitment to helping employees harmonise work and personal needs. The Award is conferred biennially by the Tripartite Committee on Work-Life Strategy.

PRISM Awards 2008 – Best Corporate Social Responsibility (Excellence)
- Institute of Public Relations of Singapore (IPRS)

CDL was conferred the Excellence Award for its outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, which takes a holistic approach in impacting the community through outreach programmes that benefit the less privileged, promote the arts, environmental conservation and youth development. The IPRS PRISM Awards (Public Relations in the Service of Mankind) was introduced in 1987 to encourage, recognise and reward organisations and individuals for excellence in public relations and communications, and outstanding contributions and achievements to raise the level of PR professionalism in Singapore.

2007

Patron of the Arts Award (2007)
- National Arts Council

This annual award is presented to CDL for its significant contribution to the promotion and development of the arts in Singapore. CDL had previously been a recipient of the Friend of the Arts Award since 1997.

The President’s Award for the Environment
- The Office of the President of the Republic of Singapore

In recognition of CDL’s firm commitment and outstanding contributions to environmental conservation throughout the years, the Group was conferred the President’s Award for the Environment. The Award is the highest accolade in Singapore’s environment and water resources field, recognising individuals, organizations and companies which have contributed monumentally to Singapore’s efforts in achieving environmental sustainability.

The President’s Social Service Award
- The Office of the President of the Republic of Singapore

In recognition of CDL’s firm commitment and outstanding voluntary contributions to the community throughout the years, the Group was conferred the highest social service honour by the office of the President of the Republic of Singapore. Since the Award was first introduced in 2001, it has been accorded only to a handful of individuals, groups and corporations, all of whom have been identified as role models for others to emulate. CDL is the only corporation to be awarded the prestigious President’s Social Service Award this year.

Total Defence Awards / Home Team NS Awards for Employers 2007 (Special Award)
- Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA)

In recognition of CDL's outstanding and consistent contribution towards Singapore’s national defence, CDL was awarded the highest honour at the Total Defence Awards 2007, jointly organised by MINDEF and MHA to commemorate 40 years’ of National Service.

Watermark Award
- Public Utilities Board (PUB)

Introduced in 2007, the Watermark Award is an award of higher recognition for Friends of Water who have made significant contributions towards Singapore’s water sustainability, raising the profile of water contributions and instilling among Singaporeans the importance of conserving, valuing and enjoying our water resource as well as demonstrating PUB’s support for efforts by the 3P (People, Private, Public) sectors to sustain Singapore’s precious water resource.

2006

Corporate Citizen Award 2006
- National Volunteer & Philantropy Centre (NVPC)

In recognition for its firm commitment to active corporate citizenship over the years, CDL has been conferred the prestigious Corporate Citizen Award by the NVPC. CDL is the first local-based company to win this prestigious award which has previously been accorded mainly to Multi-National Corporations (MNCs).

Friends of Water Award

CDL was selected to be part of PUB’s Friends of Water initiative. This accolade is in recognition of organisations that have contributed to raising awareness about water conservation and answered the call to do their part towards Singapore’s water sustainability.

Total Defence Awards 2006 - Minister for Defence Award
- Singapore Armed Forces (SAF)

CDL is the recipient of the Minister for Defence Award, the highest accolade presented to employers at this year’s Total Defence Awards (previously known as the SAF Awards for Employers and the Total Defence Awards for Civil Resource Owners). This special honour is in recognition of CDL’s consistent and unequivocal support to the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) and Homefront Ministries towards national defence, National Service (NS) policies and their employees’ NS activities. CDL is also inducted into the prestigious Minister for Defence Awards (MiDAS) League as a leader and advocate of national defence for a five-year term.

ACCA Singapore Environmental & Social Reporting Awards 2005 (Merit)

CDL is the sole winner for the Best Social Report category of the Singapore Environmental & Social Reporting Awards 2005 (SESRA). Awarded by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the SESRA recognises organisations which report and disclose environmental or social information.

Singapore Green Plan 2012 Award 2005

CDL is one of only two companies to receive the Singapore Green Plan 2012 Award. It recognises CDL’s contribution towards the national blueprint for environmental sustainability by developing eco-friendly properties; managing buildings in eco-friendly and energy-efficient ways; and fostering the community’s environmental awareness and practices.
